What is a Business Heretic?
Heresy is defined as "dissent or deviation from a dominant theory, opinion, or practice; an opinion, doctrine, or practice contrary to generally accepted beliefs or standards". That’s what you’re going to find here: dissent from the dominant theory that business is only about money, deviation from the practice of treating employees and customers like expendable commodities.
Business heretics know that the thinking that created today's problems won't create tomorrow's solutions.

Business Heretics Have Two Foundational Beliefs
Foundational Belief #1
Foundational Belief #1 is that business is fundamentally broken. We offer the world’s current economic crisis as evidence. When was the last time you got great customer service that made you feel really special, like the company you were doing business with really cared about you, the person, as opposed to you, the transaction? If you can remember such an occasion, it probably stands out in your mind because it was such a different experience than you are used to having. And customer service is but one facet of the old model that is fundamentally broken; trustworthiness, integrity and responsibility have also been casualties in the relentless pursuit of the bottom line. All is not lost, however, because of Foundational Belief #2.
Foundational Belief #2
Foundational Belief #2 is that even though business is broken, it can be fixed if we work together on the solution. What is the solution? We’re not entirely certain, and that’s why we need you and others like you to help us create it. And while we don’t know exactly what the solution will ultimately be, we do know a few things. For instance, we know that part of the solution will be for business people to start behaving in a more human way. We also know that it will require that more of us step up to the plate and assume the role of HERO of the Economy.
